The suburban train tickets can be booked at the railway stations. CVMs and ATVMs can be used to book tickets quickly by using the prepaid cards. The Indian railways also launched UTSonMobile App which the commuters can use to book train tickets from their mobiles. Passengers have to use the Builtin RWallet to load some prepaid amount for booking tickets.

Passengers can also book long journery tickets in the mumbai suburban railway stations and can travel to other parts of India. In certain situations passengers will get a waitlist ticket and in such cases passengers have to check for the pnr status of ticket to know whether their ticket is confirmed or not. If the ticket is not confirmed then passengers wont get a berth in the Indian Railways.
